Acura has made precision crafted performance more than just a tagline. It’s a reality that threads from the NSX to the new, driver-centric RDX design and into forthcoming Type S models.

The 2020 Acura MDX PMC Edition ticks the boxes as a bold model that elevates the best parts of the three-row SUV.

It wears a new PMC-exclusive Valencia Red Pearl paint and has elements of the automaker’s A-Spec package including gloss black 20-inch alloy wheels, a body color grille surround with gloss-black grille mesh, black chrome exhaust finishers; and gloss-black treatment for the roof, roof antenna, exterior mirrors, window molding, rear license plate garnish and door handles.

The MDX is powered by Honda’s reliable 3.5-liter V6 engine that achieves 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

This variant comes standard with all-wheel drive.

The MDX PMC Edition has an upgraded cabin complete with black Milano leather seats with Alcantara leather inserts, black piping, and red stitching for the seats, doors linings and center armrest. There’s also a thick A-Spec sport steering wheel that features dimpled black leather with red stitching and metal-finished paddle shifters. A-Spec floormats, a red illuminated meter, and an individually numbered serial plaque on the lower console complete the model.

The vehicle was handcrafted at Acura’s Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio, alongside the Acura NSX. Just 300 of the vehicles will be built for the U.S. and only 30 will be destined for Canada. To protect the paint during shipping, MDX PMC Edition models are wrapped in a specially designed car cover and transported to Acura dealers via enclosed, single-car carriers.

Pricing for the U.S. models is expected to start in the mid-$60,000 range.
