Hyundai has announced that the 2020 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid will start at $27,750. That’s a little more than $4,000 more than starting price of the the non-hybrid Sonata and slightly less than the starting price of the 2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid.
The Sonata Hybrid comes in three trim levels: Blue, SEL, and Limited. The Blue base model is the most fuel-efficient, achieving a segment-leading EPA-estimated 52 mpg combined and 54 mpg on the highway. With a full tank of gas, it has a 686 miles of driving range.
The mid-grade Sonata Hybrid SEL is designed to appeal to a broad range of customers while the Sonata Hybrid Limited gives buyers the most premium features, topping out at $35,300.
With the Sonata Hybrid Limited, buyers get the most tech features, including the unique Solar Roof System, which consists of solar-panel that directly charge the 12-volt or hybrid batteries in the car. When fully charged, the output is 205 watts of electricity, increasing mileage by about two miles per day.
Buyers can add Hyundai Digital Key to their Sonata Hybrid Limited. The Digital Key allows drivers to utilize their smartphone as a key to their vehicle. The technology also allows owners to pass off virtual key functionality to up to four others. It works by using Near Field Communication technology, which delivers a high level of security to users.

Hyundai completely redesigned the Sonata for the 2020 model year. It’s tech-forward but also features premium appointments in its cabin, comfortable seats, and a spacious trunk. The car delivers a more engaging drive than before but retains its roomy second-row of seating. Hyundai has given the model the most front leg- and headroom in its segment.
The 2020 Sonata Hybrid will go one sale at U.S. dealerships in June.
