The 2021 Chevrolet Colorado will sport a few look when it arrives on dealership lots later this year. In October, Chevrolet shared the first photos of the model and now a new set has been released.
New fascia options for the Colorado make the model blend in more with the current generation Silverado and Silverado HD, which have undergone significant generation redesigns in the last few years. There are a few new designs, depending on trim level.

A new, bold grille features a Chrome midsection that expands on neither side to appear to hold the truck’s headlights in place. The traditional Chevy bowtie sits front and center. This grille has larger vents than in the previous iteration. Chevrolet’s design team has also tweaked the air dam. Badging on this model denotes it as a truck with Z71 package engineering.
A second version of that grille shows it with a. body-colored midsection.
The there’s the third take, a version we’ve already seen. The 2021 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2’s grille is completely different than the first two and sports a raised midsection that features the word “Chevrolet” across the front instead of the traditional bowtie. This design is most similar to the Silverado HD’s front end.

Chevy is also changing up the packaging of the Colorado ZR2. The ZR2 will be the first Colorado model to sport the company’s flow-through “Chevrolet” front fascia, and it gets unique standard red tow hooks. It will continue to be equipped with Multimatic DSSV position-sensitive dampers, standard front and rear electronic locking differentials, a two-inch suspension lift, a 3.5-inch wider track, off-road rocker protection, cast iron control arms, Autotrac transfer case, and multiple skid plates.
In May, reports surfaced that GM was shuffling the Colorado’s trim level lineup for 2021. Chevrolet will sell the model in WT, LT, Z71, and ZR2 trim levels. The Redline Special Edition, Z71 Midnight Edition, Z71 Midnight Edition, ZR2 Dusk Special Edition, and ZR2 Midnight Special Edition packages are set to return.
Chevrolet will not be changing the truck’s powertrains options for the 2021 model year.
The base price of the Colorado has risen significantly because Chevy has discontinued the traditional Colorado base model. The new starter in their midsize truck lineup is trimmed out more like a mid-grade edition. The new Colorado WT starts at $26,395 – an increase of just $500 over the price of a similarly equipped 2020 Colorado. The truck tops out with the 2021 Colorado ZR2 having a $42,995 sticker price – an increase of $200.
