The Suzuki GSX-S1000 has gotten a thorough redo.

The 2021 Suzuki GSX-S1000 has been reborn. The manufacturer has given the bike a redesigned aesthetic that reveals aggressive looks that pair with modern technology and recalibrated power.

Suzuki has refreshed the entire bodywork and lighting of the bike, focusing on sharp lines and a powerful stance. It has what the company calls a “mass forward” demeanor with textured radiator shrouds, MotoGP-insipired winglets, and side panels that feature an urban camo-inspired design.

At the front is a vertically stacked headlight that features a new, mono-focus LED light source that displays a wider, light stream from a lighter and tighter unit than what you’ll find in the last-gen model. At the rear there’s a LED taillight that’s flanked by LED turn signals.

A new chassis structure is designed to make the bike more stable through the turns. Its suspension has also been refreshed with new equipment designed to make the ride more comfortable. A new seat also helps with that.

Suzuki will sell the GSX-S1000 in the buyer’s choice of metallic triton blue, mechanical matte grey, or gloss black.

The moto’s four-cylinder engine has more power and a broader torque spread than the previous generation’s. There’s anew intake and exhaust camshaft, new valve springs, new clutch, and new exhaust. This equipment enables a flatter torque curve that gives riders access to more power at a lower speed. The exhaust retains the same note as the outgoing model. The bike meets Euro 5 emissions standards.

A larger 19-liter fuel tank provides a range of 194 miles. Wheels are wrapped in custom-engineered Roadsport 2 tires from Dunlop.

The manufacturer has equipped the motorcycle with their Clutch Assist System. This system allows the slipper clutch to partially disengage to reduce negative engine torque and mitigate the effect of engine braking at speed. It’s designed to help keep the rear wheel from locking up and provide smoother deceleration.

Suzuki offers the bike with its Intelligent Ride System (SIRS). There’s a new ride-by-wire throttle and the option of adding the new Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) system. SDMS allows drivers to choose between three engine mapping options. A new bi-directional quickshifter is also present. Drivers have access to five different traction control options.

Front and center so the driver can easily see is a LCD dash.

The new GSX-S1000 will be available in Suzuki dealerships from the end of June, with an RRP of £10,999.
