According to information obtained by Bronco6G.com, Ford is doubling the number of 2021 Ford Bronco First Editions it’s selling. The number was originally set at 3,500 but now it sits at 7,000. But, there’s a catch.
Word is that all 7,000, including the additional 3,500, are completely sold out.
Ford spokesperson Sam Schembari told Motor1.com, “Due to overwhelming demand, we made a one-time increase to the quantity of limited-edition First Edition models to 7,000 total. Reservations for the limited-edition First Edition 2- and 4-door Broncos are full.”
The company also sold a First Edition of the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport.

This raises several questions. How did the models sell out with so little publicity? Were they offered to company insiders? Did Ford decided to give dealers the opportunity to order more? Was there a computer glitch and instead of allowing 3,500 two-door models and 3,500 four-door models, did Ford’s ordering system allow 7,000 of each?
One thing is for sure. it’s easier to say that they willingly expanded the run rather than breaking the hearts of 3,500 reservation holders who thought that they were going to be plunking down around $60,000 for their model.
The 2021 Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport debuted last week and were instantly met with overwhelming positive feedback from critics, brand enthusiasts, and nearly everyone in between.
The Bronco will come in three variants. There’s the two- and four-door Bronco and the four-door Bronco Sport. The Bronco models feature body lines and attributes most similar to the original Broncos while the Bronco Sport is a lifestyle-focused off-road capable model.
