New videos invite viewers to get an intimate look at Jaguar

New micro-documentaries from Jaguar provide an intimate look at the automaker's design process.

Jaguar has teamed with Sky Documentaries to take viewers on an intimate journey into the company’s design process. Each film is just 15 seconds long and reveal a unique aspect of the automaker’s approach to style. Subjects include clay modeling, innovative machine modeling, aerodynamics development, sound engineering, and vehicle testing in some of the world’s most hostile of environments.

Traditionally, Sky Documentaries seek to challenge, provoke, and entertain viewers. They cover a broad range of topics from the automotive industry to sports to news a broad range of topics from sport and real-world controversies through to biographies of some of the world’s most famous and infamous people.

Jaguar’s Design Director, Julian Thomson said, “We are delighted to celebrate extraordinary stories with Sky Documentaries and share part of our usually secret world. Stories are at the heart of Jaguar – our racing history, our passionate people and our progressive design philosophy are all reflected in the design of our cars.”

In 2018, Jaguar released a documentary called “Jaguar: Going Electric”. The film showcases the development of the company’s first all-electric car, the Jaguar I-Pace, taking viewers into the top-secret design studio and engineering laboratories. That film can be washed now on Amazon Prime.

The I-Pace debuted in 2018. It features 234 miles of all-electric rage. It’s capable of achieving 394 horsepower and 512 pound-feet of torque. The model can accelerate to 60 mph from a stop in just 4.5 seconds. The 2020 I-Pace starts at $69,850.
