The 2021 Hyundai Elantra marks the return of the model to its sporty DNA, according to the automaker.

The redesigned 2020 Hyundai Sonata and new 2020 Hyundai Venue went on sale in the last few months. Now it’s the Hyundai Elantra’s turn for a makeover. Ahead of its debut next week in West Hollywood, Hyundai has released a teaser image of the Elantra.

The small car is Hyundai’s best-selling car globally. For the 2021 model year, the company promises a return to Elantra’s “sport sedan” roots, which is lead by its Parametric Dynamics. Hyundai describes Parametric Dynamics as having three lines meet in one point. Typically this is a challenge that is avoided in vehicle design.

We already know that the Elantra will ride on na new vehicle platform that allows it to be longer, lower, and wider the before. Traditionally, the Elantra and Nissan Sentra have been rivals.

Hyundai is using words like “progressive” and “exotic” to describe the car’s character. They set new age engineering solutions and design innovation as the reason that the car is able to have such character.

Hyundai promises an interior that follows an “immersive cocoon” design philosophy and creates a driver-focused user experience. They have already let it slip that the model will feature one large user interfaces that consists of two integrated displays. This is likely slimier to what has been shown in new Mercedes-Benz models.
