Scout Campers launches Yoho, the lightest hardwall camper, for midsize trucks

Scout Yoho is the lightest hardwall truck camper in the truck camping industry. It’s new to the Scout Campers family just in time for state and national parks, as well as KOA campgrounds to get back to regular business.

The Yoho is made specifically for midsize trucks like the Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma, GMC Canyon, Chevrolet Colorado, and Nissan Frontier. It was designed to be lightweight, durable, and versatile. Its weight, just 913 pounds dry, is designed to not strain the powertrain or chassis of the smaller trucks while providing enough sleeping space for up to four people.

It is made with aluminium exo-skeleton framing and built for four-season travel. Scout Campers says to think of it as a backpack for your truck.

The Yoho is smaller than Scout’s first model, the Olympic. Here are its measurements:

Unlike the Olympic, it has a gear locker on the exterior passenger side ( (66 3/7 ” W x 17 ½” H x 6″ D).

The camper’s list of standard features is extensive and includes a 160-watt Renogy Monocrystalline Solar Panel, portable Yeti 1000 Lithium Power Station, portable 4.9-gallon Lifesaver Water Storage with built-in filtration, a moonroof, and a ratchet tie down system.

There some some options boxes buyers can choose. The 45L CFX Dometic fridge/freezer is available as is the Convertible Lounge, a new multi-functional design feature that can sleep 2 people. The Convertible Lounge offers a place to sit, sleep, and eat in an L-shaped seating area with dinette. It transitions to two beds.

Additionally, buyers can opt for the Newport 4.5 BTU Real Flame Fireplace, a Rhino Rack 270-degree batwing awning, the portable Dometic 2 Burner cooktop, a portable toilet, and more.
