As promised, a new Ford F-150 Raptor is on the way. While there’s very little that’s publicly known about the new model, we have a date to look forward to: February 3, 2021. That’s when Ford will formally unveil the newest member of its redesigned F-150 lineup.
Since the last-generation Raptor debuted, there has been an influx of new truck models, each being pushed as capable off- and on-road. Despite the competition, the Raptor has always been considered the most capable. That is until the Ram 150 TRX came along.
Ram’s Raptor-fighter is an off-roading specialist. The 2021 Ram TRX delivers Hellcat-derived power and desert-honed off-roading skills. It’s the quickest, fastest, most powerful mass-produced pickup truck ever made.
On Thursday, a member of Ford’s communications team tweeted an image of the new Raptor’s grille along with date and time information regarding the reveal of the vehicle.

Then, on Friday afternoon Ford CEO Jim Farley tweeted a video of the vehicle giving us the best public look at the model yet. Backed by Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”, the video shows the Raptor come alive with headlights projecting the off-road terrain, a squared-off signature daytime running lights, and an illuminated grille upper. The truck’s cab and bed configuration appear to remain the same for 2022 as they did for 2020.

What engine does it have? Will it be able to beat out the Ram TRX in the desert? We may not get all the answers on February 3 but the picture will be clearer.
The Raptor will be a 2022 model when it arrives at dealerships. Pricing is expected to be similar to the 2020 model.
