The Bentley Mulsanne has been replaced in the lineup by the newest Flying Spur iteration.

The last Bentley Mulsanne has been produced. The car’s run, which started in 2010 resulted in over 7,300 models being built at the company’s home in Crewe, Cheshire, England.

The final car off the line was the Mulsanne Speed ‘6.75 Edition by Mulliner’, finished in Rose Gold over Tungsten. The customer resides in the U.S. but the company is keeping their name confidential.

“The Mulsanne is the culmination of all that we at Bentley have learnt during our first 100 years in producing the finest luxury cars in the world. As the flagship of our model range for over a decade, the Mulsanne has firmly solidified its place in the history of Bentley as nothing less than a true icon.

“I am immensely proud of the hundreds of designers, engineers and craftspeople that brought the Mulsanne to life over the last ten years. Now, as we begin Bentley’s journey to define the future of sustainable luxury mobility through our Beyond100 strategy, the role of Bentley flagship is passed to the new Flying Spur.”

According to the automaker, over the last decade more than 700 people have invested nearly three million hours crafting Bentley’s ultra-luxury sedan.

In the last 11 years, over Producing the Mulsanne bodies required approximately 42 million spot welds, and creating the sumptuous leather interiors took more than a million hours alone. The Bentley team has spent 90,000 hours polishing cars and performing an additional four million individual quality checks.

The Mulsanne Speed, the variant of the final vehicle, was unveiled in 2015 delivering a more performance-focused take on the model. It featured an upgraded version of 6.75-liter V8 engine capable of delivering 530 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque. It also had a sports suspension and steering system.

The Mulliner Driving Specification includes 21-inch alloy wheels, Bentley Flying ‘B’ wing vents and a diamond-quilted leather trimmed cabin, matched with a large tilt-opening tinted glass sunroof and an electrically operated bottle cooler.

Bentley’s Mulsanne 6.75 Edition by Mulliner was a final run of the car, signifying the end of the era. Only 30 models were made. Features include interior “organ stop” ventilation controls are replaced by designs capped by miniature versions of the engine oil cap, clock faces and gauges feature schematic cutaway drawings of the engine, and the Flying B bonnet mascot was tinted dark.

Additionally, the Mulliner Serenity radiator grille and exhaust finishers sit at the front while 21-inch five-spoke Mulsanne Speed wheels feature a unique bright-machined finish with gloss black pockets. Under the bonnet, the engine intake manifold is finished in black in lieu of the traditional silver, and the Engine Number Plaque – traditionally signed by the craftsman that built the engine – has been signed by Adrian Hallmark, chairman and CEO of Bentley.
