Android Auto is coming to another Honda motorcycle line. Africa Twin models will gain Android Auto via an update to the system of motorcycles that are 2020 model year and newer. Android Auto is already available on Honda’s Gold Wing line.
Bikers who use the Android Auto app will be able to seamlessly enjoy app services including music, phone calls and messaging, at no additional cost. To utilize Android Auto with Africa Twin models, a Bluetooth headset is also required (sold separately). App and communication costs may apply.

The CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES and standard Africa Twin are primed for adventure. They already have Apple CarPlay integration. The Apple and Google products allow drivers to use the functionality of their smartphones without taking the hands off the wheel or handlebars.
Honda has promised that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration is coming to more models.
Africa Twin owners who would like to add Android Auto integration should visit Honda’s website, where detailed instructions will be provided for downloading the software to a USB drive and uploading it to their motorcycle. A passenger volume-control function will also be included in the software update.
