A new Hyundai smart TV app will host the debut of the redesigned 2021 Tucson later this week.

There’s a lot going on at Hyundai these days. From hydrogen powertrain innovation to a rapid cycle of new vehicle launches and numerous partnerships and sponsorships, there’s pages of company activities to keep up with. To help its brand enthusiasts keep tabs on it all, Hyundai has launched a smart TV channel.

The new smart TV app, called Channel Hyundai, features multimedia content and a digital interface as a way to introduce potential buyers to the brand and introduce automative enthusiasts to efforts by the company to further their footprint in the industry.

“Channel Hyundai is our solution to the growing need for enhanced digital experiences amid the global pandemic,” said Wonhong Cho, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer of Hyundai Motor. “Our hope is that watching content on the big screen will bring family members together for a shared digital experience, since digital experiences can often feel isolated.”

The app features three categories: Live, TV, and Models. There are plans to add more modules in the future. The Live category features product launches and presentations. The 2021 Hyundai Tucson will be revealed via the app on September 15.

The TV category will feature videos covering a wide range of lifestyle topics. I addition to shared original content, the company will produce content exclusively for the channel.

Using the Models category, users can browse and learn more about Hyundai vehicles. This section also includes a virtual interactive showroom.

The app is available exclusively on LG and Samsung smart TVs manufactured in 2017 or newer. LG models must have webOS 3.5 or higher.

The content is currently just in English, with subtitles and other languages available soon.

The app can be downloaded under the search words “Hyundai” or “channel Hyundai” on LG Content Store or Samsung TV App Store. All content can also be viewed on the Channel Hyundai website at http://channel.hyundai.com.
