The challenge came when reinterpreting the car’s aesthetics and putting them into a yacht. Both companies wanted to ensure the high level of performance they’ve built their reputations on would be upheld while the quality of materials and attention to detail were in line as well.

“We announced this partnership in May, and today we present Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63, a motor yacht which will became as futuristic an icon as the car she is inspired by,” said Giovanni Costantino, CEO of The Italian Sea Group. “Selected owners around the world will own not only the fastest Tecnomar motor yacht in the fleet, but a Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 masterpiece. I’m proud that we have chosen to create this innovative and challenging project with Automobili Lamborghini, which links technology, supreme design, quality and performance.”

The beating hearts of the yacht are two MAN V12-2000 horsepower engines. The boat can reach 60 knots, making it the fastest in the Tecomar fleet. It features carbon fiber, like a Lamborghini, which puts it in the ultra-lightweight boat classification. Despite its 63-foot length, it weighs just 24 tons.

The carbon fibre material, typical of Lamborghini super sports cars, puts this motor yacht firmly in the ultra-lightweight boat classification, with its 63 feet length weighing in at just 24 tons – the weight of 14 Huracáns.

Further design elements evoke the heritage of the Lamborghini brand. According to a release,

“The hull and the superstructure are created from a high-performance shell, developed by naval engineers specializing in hydrodynamic sciences.They interpret the design lines, created by Marcello Gandini in the Miura and the Countach of the 60s and 70s, in a contemporary way. The hard top is inspired by Lamborghini roadsters: providing sun and wind protection while guaranteeing an outstanding aerodynamic performance. The bow lights are an homage to the Lamborghini concept car Terzo Millennio and to the Sián FKP 37, both distinctive for their Y-shaped front lights.”

The interior of the boat marries form and function. The hexagonal shapes and straight lines Lamborghini is known for, as well as the Y-motif, are replicated throughout the boat. Buyers will be able to fully customize the colors and materials for their craft in the same manner in which they can do as part of Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program.

Exterior colors and livery options are also customizable.

The yacht’s instrument panel brings the modernization of car cockpit to a boat, integrating navigation and control systems. Interior details are finished in carbon fiber, natch. Like Lamborghini cars, the yacht has a start-stop button for each engine.

The first boat will be available at the beginning of 2021.
