Mercedes-Benz has redesigned its Mercedes Me Connect app. The app, which was first introduced in 2016 as a connected car application has evolved to include linked smartphone and tablet technology.
For the new generation of the technology, Mercedes redesigned the app from the ground up. It now serves as an extension of the vehicle in a similar fashion to the new BMW app.
Mercedes relays that generational improvements to the app enhance the user experience and add features. Among those enhancements is the user’s ability to pair their vehicle and activate services directly through the app without having to visit a dealership.

Additionally, it offers many connected car features designed to add to the convenience and flexibility of remote vehicle management. This includes remote engines start, remote door lock/unlock, and vehicle status functionality. Users can also manage vehicle data including mileage, fuel level, tire pressure, and fluid levels.
Should the need arise, users can facilitate a remote diagnostic test using the app. This will allow a dealership service technician to remotely retrieve diagnostic data to help troubleshoot issues ahead of a visit to a dealership. If a visit to the dealership is needed for a routine service or urgent issue, users can locate the closest Mercedes-Benz dealer through the app.
Additionally, the app includes map and navigation features that allow a customer to find their desired destination on the app and then directly send that location to the vehicle’s navigation system. There’s also a function for help remembering where your Mercedes is parked.
The app, which is currently available for download in app stores, is compatible with 2019 model year and newer Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG, and Mercedes-Maybach vehicles.
Customers can also expect to see additional updates to the Mercedes Me Connect app with more features available in the coming months.
