The best things come in the smallest packages. Rolls-Royce is now offering a 1:8 scale replica of their Cullinan SUV, created with the same level of craftsmanship as the full-size version.

Rolls-Royce says that the replica is more than “a mere model”. It has every detail reproduced “with absolute perfection” according to a release.

The company produces each of the miniatures by hand. They feature over 1,000 individual components and putting them together perfectly takes up to 450 hours. That’s over half the time it takes to put together a full-size Cullinan.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, commented, “This scale replica brings a new dimension to Cullinan’s Effortless, Everywhere philosophy. Our super-luxury SUV is now as perfectly at ease in the serene surroundings of its owner’s residence as it is in the most challenging and hostile terrain on Earth.” He continued, “It demonstrates, and reminds us as a company, that Inspiring Greatness applies at every scale. It is not just about the big things: we seek and achieve greatness in everything we do, down to the smallest item and minutest detail.”

Each model is hand-painted using Rolls-Royce color-matched paint, then hand-polished to the marque’s exacting specification; the coachline is applied using a fine brush. That’s the same process the full-sized Cullinan follows. Buyers can choose from a selection of over 40,000 exterior colors or replicate the bespoke paint job that is on the Cullinan that is under their porte-cochère.

The replica has fully functioning exterior lights that are operated by a Cullinan-branded remote control. Under the SUV’s bonnet is a replica of the ‎iconic twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12 engine that powers the Cullinan.

Its interior is just as intricate as its exterior. There are coach doors that open to reveal illustrated tread plates. There is headrest embroidery, wood finishes, seat piping, and intricate stitching.

Owners get their model presented inside a display case that is nearly a meter in length. It’s set on a gloss-black plinth. Rolls-Royce says that the Perspex window can be removed enabling the minutiae of the doors, luggage compartment and engine bay to be viewed in detail.
