A Rolls-Royce is a membership card for a vary exclusive club. That status symbol has been taken a step further with the Rolls-Royce Dawn Silver Bullet – a limited edition model with a very special name.
The company has released the first official images of the Dawn Silver Bullet as the first of the client-commissioned Collection Cars is completed at the company’s manufacturing facility in Goodwood, West Sussex, England.
The car is pictured on the shores of Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy and a popular Northern Italian holiday destination. It sits at the base of the Dolomites, which provide the backdrop for the hairpin turns the model is pictured traversing.
Rolls-Royce has given the car and its name the silver treatment. Silver has played an important role in the history of the company. There are several cars that have taken the moniker including the Silver Dawn, Silver King, Silver Silence, and Silver Spectre. In the company’s very early days, its first production vehicle, the Rolls-Royce 40/50, was given the Silver Ghost name after an early example was finished in silver.
The modern Dawn Silver Bullet features an ultra-metallic Brewster Silver paint job. Its drophead styling is revised to feature roadster attributes with the addition of Aero Cowling with vapor-blasted titanium finisher. The cowling sits behind the first row seats, giving the traditional four-seater model heightened emotional appeal. The cowling is removable for times when the owner wishes to utilize all four seats.
The Dawn Silver Bullet features dark exterior detailing; dark headlights and a new dark front bumper finisher, providing a dominant and determined expression in heightened contrast to the silver hue. The part-polished wheels offer a translucent shadow finish with a single silver pinstripe.
Inside, the Dawn Silver Bullet has a unique open-pore carbon fibre fascia and a quilted transmission tunnel with design cues taken from a leather jacket.
The Dawn Silver Bullet is a limited production model with just 50 examples to be made. Pricing is in the “if you have to ask, you can’t afford it” range.
