2021 Genesis GV80 features and powertrains broken down by trim level

Genesis has announced the starting price of the 2021 GV80 will be competitive for its segment – $48,900. The SUV is new to the Genesis lineup for the 2021 model year and will be the first in a series of new SUVs from the automaker.

There are 10 grades of the 2021 GV80. All trim levels carry a destination fee of $1,025. Here’s how they break down by trim level.

2021 Genesis GV80 2.5T RWD Standard

Genesis is charging $48,900 for this model.

The base model GV80 comes standard with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It has an electric parking brake, multi-link front and rear suspension with self-leveling capability, ventilated front and rear disc brakes, and a drive mode selector.

It rides on standard 19-inch alloy wheels. There are LED daytime running lights, full-LED quad headlights, full-LED rear combination lamps, power-folding outside mirrors, puddle lamps, and privacy glass.

The five-seater features 40/20/40 split-folding rear seats, leatherette upholstery, 12-way power front seats with four-way lumbar, the Smart Posture Care System, heated front seats, dual-memory seating, front passenger seat walk-in device, dual-zone climate control, perforated leatherette door panels, a metal door scuff, and a leather steering wheel.

There’s also keyless entry, remote start, a hands-free lift gate, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, power windows with front and rear auto up and down, rearview camera, four USB ports, 12-volt power outlet, cargo cover, and towing wiring.

The long list of standard technology includes high beam assist, forward collision avoidance with assist and pedestrian and cyclist detection, junction and lane change assist, evasive steering assist, smart cruise control, a driver attention warning, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, blind spot collision avoidance, rear cross traffic alert and avoidance, safe exit assist, and front and rear park distance warning.

Each GV80 in this grade comes standard with a 14.5-inch infotainment touch screen, 12-speaker audio system, 8-inch driver information display, Bluetooth, AM/FM/XM Radio, HD radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

This second-tier model has a starting price of $52,800. In addition to the features in the base model, buyers get a panoramic roof, matte finish wood trim, ventilated front seats, manual rear side shades, a digital key, heated steering wheel, rear cargo area 110-volt power outlet, wireless device charger, rear occupant alert, and a 21-speaker premium sound system.

Priced starting at $57,050, the model takes all the standard features of the Advanced trim model and adds leather seating surfaces, 20-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires, a surround view monitor, blind spot monitor, remote park assist, parking collision avoidance (rear), tri-zone climate control, a power driver seat bolster and cushion extension, active motion seat, and heated second-row seats.

This is the base model for GV80s with all-wheel drive. It starts at $54,650. Moving up to the Advanced trim will cost you $59,000. It builds on the Standard offering, adding 20-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires, a surround view monitor, blind spot monitor, remote park assist, parking collision avoidance (rear), leather seating surfaces, and a 21-speaker sound system.

This is the most expensive GV80 with a 2.5-liter engine you can buy. It starts at $63,400. It builds off all the content of the Advanced trim and adds 22-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires, an electronically controlled suspension with road preview (no longer self-leveling), a head-up display, road active noise cancellation, power driver seat bolster and cushion extension, active motion seat, trim-zone climate control, and heated second-row seats.

This is the base model that comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine. It starts at $59,150 and is only available with all-wheel drive. Fo their money, buyers get larger front brakes, 20-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires, and an electronically controlled suspension with road preview (removes rear self-leveling functionality).

Stepping up to the Advanced trim level costs $64,350 and adds a surround view monitor, blind spot monitor, remote parking assist, leather seating surfaces, power driver seat bolster and cushion extension, active motion seat, tri-zone climate control, and heated second-row seats.

The model has a starting price of $65,050 and adds a third row of power-folding 50/50-split third row seats to the features already included with the Advanced trim level.

For the price of $70,950, buyers can get the top-tier trim level, which includes everything in the Advanced+ package plus 22-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires, an electric limited slip differential, road active noise cancellation, Nappa leather seating surfaces, power-folding second-row seats, a 12.3-inch 3D digital instrument cluster, power rear side window shades, ventilated second-row seats, power door closure, second-row vanity mirrors, and a suede headliner and pillar trim.
