For the new model year, the 2021 Honda Odyssey has gotten a fair amount of upgrades, but also a starting price bump. However, if you look closer, there’s also a significant price decreases on the table.

The 2021 Honda Odyssey starts at $31,790. That’s exactly $1,000 more than the price of the 2020 entry level Odyssey LX. The next step up, the 2021 Odyssey EX starts at $35,190, a $400 bump. The same amount of increase is true of the EX-L, coming in at $38,460 for 2021. The 2021 Odyssey Touring is $2,560 less than the 2020 Odyssey Touring while the 2021 Odyssey Elite is $450 more than the 2020 edition.

Changes to the American-made minivan start up front. There are new LED headlights, a redesigned blackout grille that sits below a chrome strip, and a redesigned lower fascia with fog light housings. There’s gloss black trim under the rear window, which is accented by a chrome strip.Odyssey Elite receives newly designed 19-inch alloy wheels and auto-dimming side mirrors.

Honda has made the interior more upscale with updated climate controls and second-row setbacks that fold flat (making them easier to remove).

In EX trim levels and higher, the Honda Odyssey EX receives new tri-color floor mats and illuminated USB ports. Odyssey. EX-L and higher get restyled seats with contrast stitching, power lumbar support for the front passenger seat, and second row seatback pockets. Odyssey Elite models have perforated leather for the first and second row seats, with contrast stitching and piping on all three rows. Elite also features exclusive dash trim and second-row seatback pockets.

Honda is giving all 2021 Odyssey models standard Honda Sensing, a suite of safety and driver assistance technology. Previously it was only standard on EX trims and above. Additionally, the automaker has added adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, pedestrian emergency braking, and a rear seat reminder to the mix.

On Touring and Elite trims, rear seat reminder uses the CabinWatch camera to display the rear seating area on the Display Audio screen, the first integration of a rear-seat camera with a rear-seat reminder system in the industry.

The minivan retains its proven 3.5-liter V6 that achieves 280 horsepower. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
