For decades, Cyber Orange has been one of the most popular paint job colors for a Ford Mustang. Now, the color is back but this time with an electric twist.
Ford is introducing Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat for Mustang Mach-E GT. The Mach-E is Ford’s new all-electric crossover. It debuted at last year’s LA Auto Show.
The orange paint job has a long history with the Ford Mustang family. It has been featured on models since 1965 and is currently also available on the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.
“Mustang has always turned heads and Mustang Mach-E will be no exception.” said Dave Pericak, director, Ford Icons. “We can’t wait for Cyber Orange to hit the streets on Mustang Mach-E GT next year to fuel the passion of our orange Mustang fans.”
Cyber Orange and Dark Matter Gray join the list of colors for Mustang Mach-E GT with deliveries starting in late summer 2021. Mustang Mach-E GT is also available in Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Star White Metallic Tri-Coat, Grabber Blue, Shadow Black, Iconic Silver, and Space White.
Earlier this year, Ford revealed where its pre-orders for the Mustang Mach-E are coming from and what models they are reserving. The Dearborn, Michigan-based automaker has received reservations from buyers in all 50 U.S. states. Customers in the west and southwest, where cities are further apart and commutes are longer make up most of the customers who have ordered models targeted to reach an EPA-estimated 300 miles of range and come with rear-wheel drive. California, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, and Washington are the states with the strongest sales.
Residents of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire make up the bulk of the reservations for all-wheel drive models. In those states, more than 90 percent of buyers have checked that box.

The Mustang Mach-E GT grade remains popular with customers across the country with the trim level accounting for approximately 30 percent of all Mach-E reservations.
“Cyber Orange says ‘look at me’,” said Janet Seymour, Mustang and Mustang Mach-E color and materials design manager at Ford. “There’s a certain passion in Mustang customers who really want to show off their Mustang – especially those that look to make a bold statement.”
