Hyundai is planning on bringing a performance version of the Elantra to U.S. dealerships.

Hyundai confirmed that the Elantra N Line was coming to a dealership near you when the 2021 Hyundai Elantra debuted earlier this year. New renderings released by the company show the front, back, and sides of the model but don’t divulge what’s underneath – perhaps the part that matters most.

The is the second set of teaser images Hyundai has released. In April the model was shown in camouflage.

The renderings reveal the model’s low and wide styling. The face wears an N Line version of Hyundai’s cascading grille, N Line badging, and a motorsport-inspired air intake. It wears side skirts and 18-inch alloy wheels with larger brakes than you’ll find on the traditional Elantra.

The side mirrors, N Line window accents, and side skirts are all finished in the N brand signature gloss black. At the rear are single twin exhausts and a diffuser.

“Elantra N Line offers a more aggressive design that incorporates N Line’s signature red accents inside and out at an attractive price,” said Thomas Schemera, Executive Vice President, Head of Product Division at Hyundai Motor Group. “This will definitely satisfy those who are looking to join the Hyundai N community.”

Hyundai is positioning the model to be the entry point for the N Line Brand, which already includes the Veloster N, i30 N, and i30 Fastback N, among others, in global markets.

Positioning the Elantra N Line as the lowest-priced model of the Hyundai N Line lineup, Hyundai is promising the cost will start lower than the $27,600 price tag of the Veloster N.
